BE KIND SPIRIT WEEK 11/15-11/19 Monday - Military Monday: Be Kind to the Troops Tuesday - Be Kind Day: Wear your Be Kind shirt Wednesday - Miller Fan Day: Go crazy with your Miller gear! Thursday - Be Kind to Your Teacher Day: Dress and impersonate your favorite teacher Friday - Super Hero Day: Dress up like your favorite super hero! Student Council will be wearing our shirts and wearing capes to pick up the boxes!
Operation Support a Soldier 11/15-11/19 Students will collect supplies for the soldiers and box them for sending to the troops. Middle Level Conference 11/20 Saturday Clark High School is sponsoring the Middle Level Conference this year. Students will spend the day with over one-thousand middle school students having a blast learning about leadership. Students will be provided great tools to build their leadership skills. The cost for the conference is $15.00 and that pays for transportation, lunch and all the supplies they will get at the conference. The application will be online by Friday. Students will need to bring the money to school and be signed up by October 25. WinterDance 12/16 - 2:30-3:45 All students are required to participate in planning the dance. Half of the students will be assigned to work at this dance and the other half will be working at the Winter Dance. Students will be released when we are finished cleaning up, but not before! |
Community Service Students in Leadership class must to commit to 20 hours of their choice of community service a quarter. The hours must be divided into the following categories; 7 hours - Service to the Community 7 hours - Service to the School 6 hours - Service to the Family Examples could be assisting a teacher after school, babysitting for free, cleaning or yard work for a neighbor or family member and other great service projects. Ten hours must be done in the community. Students can volunteer at the hospital, at the Park and Recreation facility, or other community organiztions. Many of the students belong to the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, NCL, and other great service organizations. They can use those hours for student council, but the projects they participate in must be signed by the individual in charge of the project. Please print up the pdf link to get a community service log and keep track of your hours.
Make sure you get the final page of the course expectations and the Student Council Constitution signed and turned in by Spetember 9 to receive full credit.
